Changes to the County Clerk Database
As a result of a complete overhaul of the Bronx County Clerk's Database System, a host of new services have been implemented. Some of the added services are as follows:
On-Line Access - Our office has implemented on-line access to information previously accessible only by visiting the office. It is our intention to allow as much access to the same public records that are accessible in-house via the internet or at least as much as State Legislation and OCA regulations allow. Simply register as a user and visit our Services section of the website to explore the different on-line services we provide.
Imaging - Images of documents may be available when searching our database for minutes entries, Business Records and Dockets. Printouts of these images will be available via our Certification Department, Public Retrieval Stations located strategically throughout our office or from our Website.
Look for these service enhancements in the
near future.
Index Number Fee Increase
The cost of purchasing an Index Number has increased from $170.00 to $185.00. This change is effective as or July 1st.
Notary Registration/Renewal Changes
The cost and term for Notaries both registering for the first time or renewing have changed. Your Commission is now good for four (4) years and the cost has increased accordingly to $60.00. Please assure that you follow instructions for registering your Commission to avoid delays.
Passport Fees and Regulations have Changed
The fees for Passport Applications have changed to $40.00 for minors and $55.00 for Adults. The processing fee has been increased from $15 to $30. Additionally new regulations require that both parents be present when applying for a minor or that a notarized letter be provided explaining the reason for the absence of a parent. Please be sure to contact our office to keep informed of new application requirements before coming in to apply so that you have everything you need to successfully complete the application process and avoid delays in receiving your passport.
