| At the Offices
of the Bronx County Clerk, the public may obtain certified copies
of Court related and some non-court related records. Also, for a fee,
the Certification Department will do a Search and Compare for a specific
Court Record and can provide you with a certified copy of that record.
Below is a list of the fees for the services provided by the Certification
Department and a partial list of the types of documents that can be
certified. 
Search and Compare
The fee to search and compare a record is
$5.00 for every two consecutive
years. You can send correspondence to the County Clerks Office
specifying the exact name of both parties involved in the action
and the years to be searched. Also
include a Certified Check or Money Order payable to the Bronx County
Clerk in the exact amount of the search fee.
Certification of Documents
The fee to prepare and certify a court related
document such as Divorce and Money
Judgments is $8.00. The fee to prepare and certify non-court
related documents such as Name Change,
Business Certificates, Tax Satisfaction, Liens and Deeds is $10.00.
Military Discharge (DD-214)
The fee to obtain a copy of a Military
Discharge is $2.50 which has been filed in the County Clerks
office, however a free copy is issued
upon filing of the original document.
Exemplify a Document
The fee to Exemplify a document is $25.00,
in addition to the $8.00 cost of certification of the document.
